Today in New York was gorgeous — sunny and nearly 60 degrees, which means almost everyone outside was smiling and loving spring. Daniel and I made pancakes for brunch again, and then we ventured down to Union Square to pick up some farmers market goodies.
I’m not normally a potato girl, but these lovelies caught my eye. Before cooking:
We got two kinds, Peruvian purple fingerlings and roseval potatoes. After being roasted, with plenty of garlic and olive oil:
I had my serving with leftover Thai coconut soup from last night’s dinner at Peacefood Cafe.
Tomorrow is the last day of my Crazy Sexy Cleanse. I haven’t quite decided which elements I’m keeping and which I’m letting go. I do know I’ll be having a cup of coffee come Monday morning…
Also! On Friday, I ran more than two miles for the first time since the marathon. I ran a whole three miles, and although my knee had a little pain, it was nowhere near as bad as it was two weeks ago. Progress! I might try another short run tomorrow and see how it feels… Wish me luck!
